This song is just a single of mine from 2006. I had a dark, demented, but at the same time cheesy villain character in my head while writing this.
This was my entry for OVGMC3 [Original Videogame Music Competition 3] back sometime in 2005. The theme was ”Enchanted Forest” so I set out to write such a piece featuring a lot of organic elements, only… enchanted. Meaning add distortion
I think I created a very nice emotion here with this song, and it remains one of my best to this day. I forget the results of the compo though. Probably got 2nd to last as usual.
I haven’t made a piece of music in a loong time, so I’m kinda annoyed at myself. This is like a very small comeback for me :{P
Rockin’ Boss Battle Music. Modeled after FF7’s, with its triplet feel and electric guitar riffs. I tried to make it more contemporary later in the song, if there is such thing as later in a short song like this. But altogether I am fairly happy with the way everything works together. (Gotta love those ride cymbals.)
It has been a while since I submitted anything. This is a new piece that I wrote with an opening scene in mind. It can be used for darker scenes but I don’t think it would be that good to loop.
Written for February 2008’s Contest. This piece was meant to be a theme for an arch-villain’s lair, a walking, living castle with all sorts of morbid things contained within. The walls of this theoretical castle are covered in human skeletons, and the floor is crawling with all sorts of malicious beasties. I meant for this to have sort of a feeling of a final dungeon of sorts, and I wanted it to feel pretty epic too, and I think I succeeded. This is also meant to loop.
