Sonicesque Vol. II is the second original album of Sonic music in the Genesis style, composed by Karl Brueggemann.

“With this second volume, I really took things to the next level. I received some great feedback from Vol. I, which motivated me to go above and beyond what was originally just an experiment with a new plug-in. My goal for Vol. II was to try and emulate that classic Genesis style, while also making sure my own compositional voice was heard. Sonic 3 is the main influence here, but also Sonic & Knuckles, and Sonic 2. Fans of those games will notice some songs inspired by specific levels, such as Hydrocity, Angel Island, Ice Cap and Lava Reef, among others. I’ve put a lot of love into this album, and I really hope you enjoy it as much as I do. If so, please spread the word!”

Sakari Infinity has been provided with 6 tracks:

This was my entry for ”CompoST 76: The Jungle [Take 2]”

Take 2 because CompoST 10 was a jungle theme but all the songs failed horribly. This compo was no different except the songs were a bit better. I like pluckey things. This is a bit short [actually: really short] but I think it is a sexy song. The title is a reference to zircon’s compost 10 entry ”Jungle Bungle” which sucks hard.

So yeah, this song could be used for an atmospheric jungle setting.

Description / Purpose:
I haven’t made a piece of music in a loong time, so I’m kinda annoyed at myself. This is like a very small comeback for me :{P
The music has many of my trademarks, like the instrumental progression, solo breaks and that bloody key of C. Nothing more to say, except listen away!

Instruments Used:
Maelstrom Graintable Synthesizer
Dublab Heavy Kit
Melotron Strings
Grand Piano
Strings
Steel-stringed acoustic guitar
RV-7000 advanced reverb
and Scream 4 sound destruction unit

Inspiration:
I have no idea. Lately I have been listening to Weezer’s new album ”Weezer” (the red one), but I doubt that had anything to do with this.

Enjoy!
