The mood starts off violent and dark with embellishments from the horns but soon shifts into a major key and brightens the mood and brings back a ray of light. Essentially representing the fact that adventure does indeed hurt. After awhile, the bright theme degrades and is interrupted by a loud diminished chord bringing the score back to the beginning.

Instruments: Horn in F, Trombone, Tuba, Timpani, Percussion, Violins, Violincello

I haven’t uploaded a song here for ages D;. Such improvment has been made. This is a complete overhaul of a song I made last year as the second boss theme of Eternal Genesis. It’s been a while since I’ve made anything fully orchestral like this. In any case, this was an attempt to make something that sounds like works from Yoko Shimomura. I’ve been able to compose like Ueamtsu, compose like Sakuraba, but I find Shimomura’s style friggin’ hard! In any case, I wanted to make a battle theme that sounds like it would belong in Kingdom Hearts.

Instruments Used:
Strings, Tubas, Snares, Violins, Harpischord, Contrabass, Piano, French Horn, Bassoon, Flute

Inspiration:

A new boss theme I’ve made for Mateus’ side of the story in my game: Eternal Genesis. Again using Motoi Sakuraba’s style as an influence in this track. This song is in the 3/4 time signature and uses rock organs, accoustic drums, and orchestra. I’m really getting good at mapping accoustic drums now!!

I wrote this with the intent of having it be used in a very intense story-related boss battle, but I suppose it could just as easily be used for a normal boss or a chase scene perhaps. It’s quite fast paced, and uses some articulations of instruments that I’ve never used before, like Col Legno on the bass section. It’s meant to loop as well.

Instruments Used:
Male and female choir, full string section, harp, grand piano, percussion (snare drum, bass drum, timpani, woodblocks, tambourine, cymbals), tuba, french horn section, trumpet section, oboe, clarinet, and flute. Basically a full orchestra.

Inspiration:
Various boss themes from Kindgom Hearts with driving bass lines and fast percussion, and Shizu. :)

Rockin’ Boss Battle Music. Modeled after FF7’s, with its triplet feel and electric guitar riffs. I tried to make it more contemporary later in the song, if there is such thing as later in a short song like this. But altogether I am fairly happy with the way everything works together. Racing game opening theme. No Doubt. This was the first Song I ever made where I knew what I was doing with music theory and such. This is still my favorite song I’ve made and will probably continue to be, and its entirely because of the hook in the middle and end. I know the guitars may overpower one another but after an hour of mixing this is the best I could do. It is a very rockin’ song with complementing synths and guitars and I am excited to upload it onto Sakari.

Lead Overdrive Guitar, Rhythm Distortion Guitar, Sawtooth, Drum Kit, Pick Bass. (Made with Guitar Pro 5 and the Realistic Sound Engine.)
