This is a one-hour-compotune I wrote, where I started composing immediately after playing Mega Turrican. So this is my take on Chris Huelsbeck’s awesome style. Also, I used VOPM for the synths and lofimat on the drums to give it the Sega Megadrive sound. A bit short but so are most chiptunes, plus it was made in an hour [okay well more like 45 minutes]. Enjoy!
This piece was written for the music competition in February of 2008. The theme was “Castles”. I envisioned ruins of an old castle with the history written on its walls. The castle’s history involves wars, kings, and heroes of myth and magic. When you walk through these ruins, you can almost feel and experience the lore and history of the ancient kingdom now gone from this world.
Created to show the change in the character ’Ike’ from ’Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance’ from the beginning of the game to the end in music. This is for the year end competition.
A theme made for Kailis : The Crystal Souls with an interesting Mandolin work.
A neutral/sad military theme, probably for a ceremony.
Composed for the October competition.
Having a good time with a girl is what this song is all about. But then while you’re out with her she says that you two should get married, and you’re not really feeling that.
To me, it sounds like some Kingdom Heart type stuff.
I wrote this song to depict a scene I had imagined, one involving an airship journey through a violent storm. This is probably best used as a piece of music for a really epic or dramatic scene. The first and second halves of the piece are meant to represent different levels of intensity of the storm, and the end is supposed to represent when the protagonists come out the other side of the storm into the calm, where they see the floating continent.
Electronic, and slightly fast paced, could be used maybe for a factory level, power plant, ect.
