If you’re looking at this web site and wondering “am I at the right place?”, then the answer is “yes”. This is the new Sakari Infinity.
Late this summer, Chris Hurn and I talked and decided that this site needed a fresh image. Sakari Infinity needed an update, not only to keep it modern with the changes in how the web is viewed, but because the staff at Sakari Infinity was changing as well. None of the current staff (forum leaders, administrators, etc) besides me are the same as when the site re-opened in 2005. And in 2005, the site was set up for myself alone to be the administrator.
Today, there are hundreds of downloads available, and thousands of members. This called for serious measures…
Our focus is the same as it’s always been: Get our musicians’ music out to the public. But we’re changing the way things are presented a little bit. Now, musicians are more easy to find and talk to. They can share their websites, and are encouraged to write more information about themselves. Not only that, but our new format is set up for simple sharing and (soon) easy plug-ability to current technologies such as Facebook and Twitter.

Holy cow! I thought this place was long dead! I’d even removed my bookmark for it. I need more sites like these as an independent freeware game developer.
