This piece is meant for a tense moment. For example if you’re running from some insanse murderer or something. I also think it could fit as a battle theme depending on the type of game and its setting.

This was written for the March ’07 competition, in which it was assigned to write a boss battle theme with a heavy emotional conflict.

The original version being a bit heavy on the strings a quite pacy, having to remake an actual piano solo version, with slight proper use of dynamics bringing the tempo a bit slower and relaxing.

Well I’ve been wanting to write a nifty industrial battle theme, but this is what ended up coming out instead. haha.

This is entered for the 2007 March Competition. What I was going for this one was a sort of tranquil song, an effect similar to that which was used in Chrono Cross during certain battles with old friends. I tried to create a nostalgic atmosphere, so that it would be focused more on the pain and juxtaposition of battling an old friend and what a great friendship it could’ve been instead of the enmity between you two

A simple boss song created for the March 2007 competition. It placed 3rd.

The song was constructed with a group of participants at Bakuretsu Con through improvisational skits and interactive analysis, and includes lyrics in both English and Japanese. The recording also features vocal performances from several convention attendees who came to the studio session.
